• Maintain excel workbooks on specimen reports, product orders, and frozen isolate records

• Provide vision in guiding, navigating and executing the future goals of the 
MANRRS executive board
• Build and maintain representation within STEM, the College of Agriculture 
and Life Sciences, and other Minority organizations on campus, through 
collaborative events and reinforcement of MANRRS presence
• Assume the duties of the President when they is unable to preside

chapter’s finances
• Draft and write grant applications as well as attend applicable hearings to 
secure funding for chapter programming and travel
• Manage the chapter’s financial accounts in both day-to-day operation and 
the planning of large scale events like hosting regional conferences and 
hosting the Jr. MANRRS chapter on the UW campus
• Create and pay for space reservations

Watkins Park Nature Center, Upper Marlboro, MD

Volunteer/ Assistant Naturalist

 

​Assisted and/or carried out daily animal care such as cage cleaning, meal 
prepping, feeding, misting, changing water
• Co-facilitated animal shows and programs with the park naturalists while 
hosting people that visited the Nature Center
• Performed seasonal trail and garden maintenance by removing invasive 
plant species, trimming low hanging limbs, and removing litter and other 
debris out of the trail path 
• Gained exposure to non-medical animal care practices and insight into the 
importance of naturalist and spreading awareness about our environment to 
the public
